22nd Day After

• Weight: Precisely 58 kg with my new digital scale (yap, from Ikea; yap, red ;-), in-between 58 and 59 kg with my old one
• Measurments' history is linked in my post below
• Morning temperature (at 4:30): 16° C • Max. daytime temperature: 22° C • Weather: Cloudy with showers

Interesting morning. I woke up before 4 a.m. Because of the rain shower? Most probably as I was not covered & had cold as room temperature dropped. Well, no matter the reason, I couldn't felt asleep again, so here I am; with delicious Charentais melon bites.

  1. Interesting, I do the breuss cure this time for exactly the same reason: thyroid gland, goiter.
I already made full 42 days a few years ago just for the detox, I didn't have thyroid problem then.

As I see you included a lot of fruit juices in the diet which is a bit strange.
According to many, it is not only protein but also glucose which helps the growing of cells and Breuss juice does not contain any. Adding sugars could be counterproductive and make the fasting futile with regard to eliminating cells.
Adding fruit juices in the morning after the fasting should be OK and kept as a habit in a normal life.

Anyway, I congratulate you on completing the challenge and proving to yourself a strong will, a feeling which by itself is worth of it.

I would like to know your progress regarding the thyroid gland. Shrinked?
Mine is located only on the right side, but pretty big, about 10-12 cm large, with many nodules.

It is my second day, but I know what to expect (which makes it even harder, haha).

All the best and thanks for your blog.

  2. Gosh, that's not only interesting, that's amazing, Senad!
I wish you all the best with your Breuss cure & cross fingers for you!!!

May I suggest you share your journey in a blog as well?
If not, well, even if you will, I would love to talk to you & keep in touch. Puno ti hvala!
Not only because I said I'd repeat the cure, and next time really follow the Breuss' one.

  3. OK, in short: I made it.

Although I lost 22 kg (from 118 down to 96, now back to 102), unfortunately my thyroid remained the same size, so it didn't work, at least not for me.
I am talking about nodules here, so I cannot say anything about other types of goiters.

    Depressive diet? Yes.
Worth a try? Only if you want to put your limits on proof or if you are really sick.
Anyway after completion it provides an enormous feeling of self-appreciation.

For the rest I would recommend gradual changing of one's bad eating & lifestyle habits towards as much as possible raw fruits and vegetables and regular cardio exercises. Eat 5-6 times a day, according to STRICT scheme, last meal no later than 20:00 in the evening, under regular circumstances
Eat VARIED food, but NOT necessarily mixed. Help your organism with dealing with as less as possible nutritions at the time. Take care of Acid/Alkaline food balance, etc. In general the diet should consist of 70%-80% alkaline foods and 20%-30% acid foods. There is a plenty of good info around.

To conclude: No temporary diet can change our bad lifestyle. Change the habits. I mean really CHANGE AND STICK WITH IT FOR LIFETIME and the rest will come by itself.

    EAT RAW.
